Title: Molecular Evolution
Other Titles: 分子演化
Authors: Chau-Ti Ting
Issue Date: 2014
Publisher: National Taiwan University
Abstract: This course is designed for undergraduate level students who are interested in molecular evolution or bioinformatics related topics. Students who have some knowledge of biology and/or genetics are preferred. The instructors will introduce the dynamics of evolutionary change at the molecular level, the driving forces govern the evolutionary process, the effects of the various molecular mechanisms on the structure of genes, proteins, and genomes, the methodology involved in dealing with molecular data from an evolutionary perspective, and the logic of molecular hypothesis testing.
